These policies are designed to ensure a safe, enjoyable, and respectful trekking experience for all guests. Please read them carefully before booking your trek.

1. Booking Requirements

Age Requirements

  • Minimum age for easy treks: 12 years (with parental consent)
  • Minimum age for moderate treks: 16 years
  • Minimum age for difficult treks: 18 years
  • Trekkers under 18 must be accompanied by a guardian

Health Requirements

  • Basic physical fitness is required for all treks
  • Disclose any medical conditions at the time of booking
  • Consult a doctor before booking challenging treks
  • Carry personal medications with proper documentation

Documentation

  • Valid government-issued photo ID mandatory
  • Address proof for certain high-altitude treks
  • Medical certificate for treks above 14,000 feet
  • Emergency contact information of two persons

2. Payment and Cancellation

Payment Terms

  • Full payment required at the time of booking
  • Acceptable payment methods: Credit/Debit cards, UPI, Net Banking
  • All prices are inclusive of taxes
  • Additional charges may apply for customized requests

As a TrekGo guest, you are expected to:

  • Follow instructions from trek leaders and guides
  • Maintain discipline within the group
  • Respect fellow trekkers and staff
  • Adhere to designated trek routes and schedules
  • No consumption of alcohol or drugs during treks
  • Maintain appropriate behavior at all times

4. Environmental Responsibility

We are committed to sustainable tourism:

  • Follow “Leave No Trace” principles
  • Carry all waste back to designated disposal areas
  • Avoid using single-use plastics
  • Respect wildlife and natural habitats
  • Stay on marked trails to prevent erosion
  • Use water and other resources responsibly
  • Do not remove any natural objects or artifacts

5. Safety Guidelines

Equipment and Gear

  • Follow the recommended gear list provided
  • Ensure all equipment is in good condition
  • Wear appropriate trekking shoes with good grip
  • Carry essential safety items (first aid, emergency contacts)

During the Trek

  • Stay with the group at all times
  • Inform the trek leader immediately if feeling unwell
  • Follow acclimatization guidelines for high-altitude treks
  • Maintain proper hydration and nutrition
  • Follow all safety instructions and emergency procedures

6. Accommodation and Facilities

  • Accommodation is typically in shared rooms or tents
  • Separate arrangements for male and female trekkers
  • Basic amenities provided as per trek location
  • Hot water availability may be limited in remote areas
  • Mobile network connectivity cannot be guaranteed
  • Charging facilities available at designated locations only

7. What's Included vs. Not Included

Usually Included

  • Accommodation during the trek
  • Meals as specified in the itinerary
  • Trek leader and guide services
  • Camping equipment where applicable
  • First aid support
  • Permits and entry fees

Usually Not Included

  • Personal trekking equipment
  • Transportation to and from the base location
  • Personal expenses and tips
  • Insurance coverage
  • Meals not mentioned in the itinerary
  • Costs due to unforeseen circumstances

8. Grievance Redressal

If you have any concerns during your trek:

  • First approach your trek leader for immediate resolution

  • File detailed feedback within 48 hours of trek completion
  • Response to complaints within 7 working days
